 ‘D’ DOUBLINGS

This is the same principle as the other Doublings.  The first gracenote is still High ‘G’ but this time the note in the middle and at the end is a ‘D’.  ‘D’ is doubled by cutting it into two with an ‘E’ gracenote.

Order of Events:
1.         Starting note - ‘E’ in example 19.
2.         Open High ‘G’ gracenote.
3.         Change to ‘D’.
4.         Put down High ‘G’ gracenote.
5.         Double ‘D’ with an ‘E’ gracenote.
6.         End on ‘D’.
When coming from High ‘G’ remember to use the Thumb Gracenote (example 20):
1.         High ‘G’.
2.         Lift thumb.
3.         Lift ‘D’.
4.         Put down High ‘G’ (keep thumb off!).
5.         Put down thumb.
6.         Double  ‘D’ with an ‘E’ gracenote.
7.         End on ‘D’.
This is different when coming from High ‘A’ (example 21):
1.         High ‘A’.
2.         Lift ‘D’.
3.         Put down High ‘A’ (move thumb last).
4.         Double  ‘D’ with a ‘E’ gracenote.
5.         End on ‘D’.
