The Rose of Allandale

Traditional tune/song

rose allandale

Tips
1.
As a song you need to enjoy the sounds of this tune.
2.
The throws  in bars 1 and 13 are very light. All the notes in the throw are the same length (listen carefully on the video). This gives a sense of definition and a bit of bounce, but doesn't give that heavy low G.
3.
The throw in bar 3 is very open and this effect is achieved through making the D on the beat a little longer.
4.
The strikes on the Es are the same length as the High G gracenotes.
5.
In bar 9...the throw is half the length of other places. This is to gie that sense of 'picking up' that the melody asks for.
